Well, you learn something new every day. Thanks for pointing that out Tony. I take it this turns out to be a tip for more effective brass modelling generally - quick cooling it to minimize oxidation

I worked at the Savannah River Plant in Aiken, SC from April 1970 until
August 1996 as a Nuclear Physicist. Although we had our own railroad on the
site, no nuclear materials were shipped off

Actually, we're looking for the scale where the WFEX shop re-weighed
their cars. It very likely didn't have the same place name as the
shop, but rather was named for the GN station it was located
