Tichy Tank Car: Ask, and It Will Be Given.
Before the Tichy/Gould tank car became the most recent Freight Car du Jour, I had been barely aware of its existence; but I have to admit that the discussion certainly has piqued my curiosity.

Fellow List Members,
I recently asked the CSRM about the GN photos residing in the Paul Darrell collection. I
was intrigued by one photo in particular, a well lit straight on side view of GN

Re: ADMIN: A goal of the STMFC: Fidelity to the prototype
Here we go again, flogging the long-dead horse about rivet counters.
The way to avoid being treated scornfully on this list is to stop
trying to justify crap like the Athearn three dome tank car.

I need some verification, not personally, but regarding the D&H Cement Cars.
Reviewing the article in the 1985 Mainline Modeler, it appears that the

Ed,
Supposedly this photo is dated 1955. Also note the use of the old
style reporting marks with the new emblem. There are almost 200
cars in series 16000-16200 listed in the 1955 ORER, assigned

Re: The Tichy Tank Car as a "War Emergency" USG-A Car

To produce a kit for the War Emergency cars would require
money and expertise. If someone here thinks that would be
a viable investment, why not ask Don Tichy to produce the
tooling as a custom
