We all strive for a believable illusion on our model railroads. How we go about it is personal preference. We all like to compare notes about some of the best and most effective ideas.

If you have B/W photos, then try and deduce the reporting marks, that
would be your first lead into further research.

ACL gon class K10
Folks,
I'm looking to add some ACL gons. I want to model a class K10. Did
anybody make this car in HO scale or is there something close that I
could use and modify? Any help is welcomed.

Re: Fauerbach Beer Reefers
Bill,
In neither the August 1931 nor the January 1938 ORER was the Fauerbach Brewing Company listed. If there were reefers as you describe, they were leased by Fauerbach from a private owner.

Blair,
I believe the "stock" car that you saw was built by the TSRR from a
40' SSW flat. They had two of the 81xxx cars when they opened the
doors. Many of their cars are rebuilt not for historic

Tony,
That was fast! Thanks for the reminder on these cars. I should have
checked the archives before posting. . . this was all covered last
December, no less. I should have remembered at least that

I believe the ART cars have TSRR numbers, not the original ART numbers.

The express/baggage is ex-MP, and a very different design from the SP/RI
economy design.
I'll send you photos direct, since this is off-topic.

These were U.S. Military freight car kits provided to meet European load
gauges. There was a flat, a box (essentially a flat with sides and roof),
and a tank.
