Or even if they ARE supposed to be stand-off drop grabs, I snip out the horizontal molded "shelf" and glue .010 styrene or wire between the remaining standoffs... see my PM car

I essentially said not everyone wants to work for no
compensation, and no one should expect that pattern
makers owe the hobby their free labor. And the 100
hours is a hypothetical situation.

I think the most common alternate technique for ladder-grabs
(as opposed to bent, stand-off grabs) is just to glue a short
length of .008 to .010 wire or plastic rod to the ladder stile.

I was working from a black-and-white side photos, so the ends and the brake wheel are questionable. I left mys cars all BCR, and the brake wheels were what the ones supplied on the Intermountain
