PFE Ice Decks
Did the PFE operate any ice decks east of the Mississippi River?
Did they have agreements with other RR's to ice their reefers?
Tony Thompson need not reply.

Re: Intermountain Type 27 tank car frames
I've done some more reading and now see that my comments about Type 27 frames having flat faces on the side/end sills could be wrong because I was looking at AC&F UTLX cars - which, but for 3 cars,

Woe!!! You could ship LCL express. All Express rates were set by the express company.(REA) Nothing to do with passenger trains. Then they worked out rates for space in the baggage cars on the train

Re: Double-sheathed box cars
Nope, no bulging. However, there is no reason that a well worn,
non-interchange boxcar would not perhaps bulge from a load. That would be a
pretty weak boxcar, especially if it is bulging near the top

Schuyler,
You have correctly identified the "senior moment" at crossing the name with stover. Thanks for the map link, one more thing to drive the Mrs. nuts as I tie up the computer.
