I have a Branchline Blueprint ATSF Rr64 SFRB 5961 blt 12-59. The car
has a rigid underframe. The OER shows this car a "Shock Control" "DF"
as does the car's lettering. (It's a great looking car.)

Thanks Rob for the info on the gons. The date of the photo is pretty reliable as the photo was one of several taken at the shipyard. I'll look up the BRHS data sheet on these cars.

Assuming that the date is correct, the car is more likely one of the CB&Q's very numerous composite gons from the GS-1/2 or GS-5/7/8 series. From the side, they appeared very similar to a USRA
