Personally, I thought the star of the show was ERIE 94547 in the middle of all those tank cars . . . 😊

I like the nice, light weathering touch on most of these freight cars. 😊
BTW, I think I see a 28 or 29 weigh date on one of the GS gons; the cleanest looking one.

Elden, I recognize that car, at least the general design, as a GSC 58’ depressed center flat. It could indeed have been an ERIE car, 7260-7265, rated at 125 tons, but other railroads had these as

Hello Elden & Group!
I think the ERIE 7210 qualifies as a possibility. See attached.

Phillip,
You're a few decades too late. The pallet as we know it, along with the fork-lift, were invented in the 1920s. By 1925, the pallet included bottom

Re: GN Boxcar
I don't know about the Uniforms, but do the pallets or skids by the car date things. I thought pallets came with fork lift trucks and Iso containers after the second World War?

Welded reefer?
My off the wall question for today was triggered by a discussion with a friend. Were there any 40' steam era reefers with welded rather than riveted sides? We could not think of any.
