Trix 105A tank car
I received my Trix tank cars on Wed. Upon putting one on a display track
next to an Atlas propane tank car, I noticed the running board was very high on
the Trix. Turned out to be 52.25 scale inches

I'm looking at Terry Metcalfe's UP Freight Car book at this car on page 116. It is the builder's photo and the caption disputes the painting instructions that the roof and ends are black car cement

A small handful showed up in Des Plaines today. It was so
interesting thumbing through, I took the rest of the day off to go
through it. I should send Red Caboose a copy for his next car.
