Did PFE change to a more intense shade of orange when the R-40-23 around the
time the R-40-23 was produced? Did all of the cars come with Morton
running boards?

Don't be too hard on the folks at Marklin USA, the projects are out of their
control.
All the decision making is done in Germany and they are not as much in the
communication loop with the toolmakers
