Re: Photo: Boxcars In 1902
Interestingly, there are boxcars from Soo Line (the old LaBelle kit) and Wisconsin Central in that cut of cars... still separate railroads at that time.

Re: whose rebuilt USRA boxcar this is
I would guess ATSF from the curved line map. The truck (auto) is filled with Ruppert beer. I can't imagine how they got into that situation. The near end of the boxcar is off the track, so there

Hi List Members,
I cannot quite make out whose rebuilt USRA boxcar this is, but someone will be able to nail it, especially given that there appears to be a map on the side of the boxcar

Re: Kadee early PS-1
Elden,
I bought their Southern 262053, part number 4324. It lacks the five little stiffeners under the running board, there are no ribs on the outermost roof panels, and the ends are riveted. These

how they harvested ice for all those reefers!
It's really quite fascinating. A lake frozen hard enough that multiple cars were driven out on it. but it's the harvesting that is interesting.
How they did that.

Re: Kadee early PS-1
I bought three NH cars when they were released, painted the doors for my era and renumbered two of them…still have to find correct door stencils to apply and clear coat.

Eldon,
I have received several of Kadee’s new models, and your assumption is correct.
Kadee models representing PS-1 box cars built in 1947 & 1948 are found at www.kadee.com. In addition to the good

Kadee early PS-1
Folks;
Has anyone received an early PS-1 from Kadee?
Which RRs would be represented by this model?
I assume they’re up to Kadee’s usual standard of accuracy.
What do you think?
