To add: I read a group of letters between PRR and a customer where PRR billed the customer for clean-out of a gondola where PRR got back loaded with trash and most damaging, oil drums full of waste

There are literally tons of correspondence on violations of instructions & stenciling I have read, where RRs like PRR, P&LE and P&WV wrote to their counterparts or customers, sometimes

some time ago I uploaded a Return m'tys via list to the files.
It barely makes this lists timeline however it shows that the railroad mgmt. provided some guidance and I would think in concert

Yes, I saw the horizontal riveted seam, had planned that with a strip of Evergreen and Archer rivets but I didn't realize the length was longer, that's kind of a deal breaker now.

Yes sir that be the photo, thank you! They look to be a tad taller than say a PFE R40-23 or similar with the sill tabs removed and a straight sill out of styrene added in their place. I was

the railroad allowing a shipper to load the car with one of the “contaminating” loads had to pay for rebuilding (relining the interior?) the car
