Stewart makes a 70 ton ASF A-3 solid bearing truck. You can get
them directly from Stewart, but he will charge you $3.95 a pair
for them. They are an early diesel era, post WW II design. Very

John, the 1953 Car Builders' Cyclopedia includes a Westinghouse drawing of
the brake gear on an AAR 50 ton hopper - should serve your purposes, as the
70 ton cars were arranged the same way.

I'm finishing up an SAL three-bay hopper (the offset
version, blt. 1948) and don't have any information on
brake configurations. I want to do some more detailed
brake gear, lines, etc.
