Branchline ladders
I was wondering if anyone knows if Branchline has come out with their eight rung ladders. I have heard that they plan to do this with the redo of forty foot boxcar, but had heard nothing since.

Ken,
Normally I'm never serious. Deeply sincere, yes, but never serious. Except for trains. Maybe. Now you can
decided if my original statement was serious or not.
Kind regards,

Re: Galvanized "paint"
Hi Folks,
Has anyone tried the galvanized paint from the hardware store? Will
it react to the plastic? Would it work with a primer coat, as in the
old Floquil paints.
Thanks,
George

Re: "Galvanize" paint
For really weathered galvanized metal I am considering using Mike
Rose's weathering technique. If the plastic is already silver I
would spray it with dullcote. Then I would spray it with alcohol.

With regard to creating a galvanized metal color we should also raise
the question "Is it new galvanized or old weathered galvanized?" If
seen some new galvanized metal that is very silvery. Then

Interesting assertion. One thing that surprised me when I did the lists by
car type was how far down the list you had to go to get 90% of the box
car fleet- Maine Central at 54th place with 5102

Andrew,
The car you're describing could be a General American "Dry Flo" 3 bay
hopper like the CGW had. There is a kit available for that car.

The October 1919 ORER. I only listed railroad-owned cars for those roads

listed in 10/19 didn't).
