IM Parts Sprues [was New IM Cars Arrive]
Friends,
Several times in the past I ordered parts sprues from IM. IIRC, you had to order a dozen or more at a time, but that actually worked out pretty well if you were ordering say PS-1 or AAR

We did use this photo, and one from Richard Hendrickson on the next page (81-82.) Basically, the three course 6500 gallon tank was replaced by a four course 8000 gallon tank on the same underframe.

The Wathers car was actually a copy of John Allen's design from the early 1960s. IIRC, he had two built to fit an Athearn 40' boxcar shell, and could change the body to keep his operators on

There is your answer. Note the wood used inside the reel to protect what was.probably electrical cable. Wire rope needed no such mlm protection.
