Hello Jared,
yes there are several AFAIK. Who comes to my mind is scratchbuiltmike - Michael Stamey/ South East Scale Models. He has an ebay account where he frequently sells cars. Years ago I purchased two of them and I am pleased with the quality. Here is a (used) example:

Without comment on the sellers business practices, no. Prices in this range have been common for the seller's auctions for months maybe years. They come up from time to time on the list. Brian J. Carlson

Re: Solid Bearings vs. Roller Bearings
So what other mechanical considerations
favor the use of all roller bearings?
Bob Chaparro The main advantage was reduced labor costs (frequent inspection and lubrication) and a statistically smaller likelihood of derailments due to journal bearing failure. Railroads were reluctant to buy them because of their higher installation costs and as someone mentioned, the benefits mostly accrued to other railroads. Some railroads continued to buy plain bearings on new cars until it was finally banned. Tim O'Connor

Re: Era of PFE car
George,
That sounds like one of two experimental paint schemes. If the road name is classic PFE lettering, this is sometimes know as the "curved corner scheme". It was created in 1936 and, based on the PFE Book (Thompson, Church and Jones), at least 22 cars received
this scheme. The cars were rebuilt from R-30-5 and -6 with arch bar trucks. Car 11007 is an R-30-6-11 1/2 and is pictured in the PFE book. A single R-30-11-4 received a similar scheme with Pacific Fruit Express in Script lettering. That scheme may have
only lasted a few months. Both schemes have the Overland banner the Union Pacific Shield with the script car having a Union Pacific System shield, while #11007's shield is lettered "Union Pacific" (without "system").
All-in-all a rare scheme, that was short lived, on a small number of cars, in a huge fleet.

Re: Era of PFE car
Jack Burgess <jack@...>
That sounds like the NMRA 2000 national convention car. Twenty-two cars were painted in the “curved corner” scheme in 1936. Except for the curved corners, the cars were otherwise painted in typical PFE colors and lettering. The curved corners were removed by October 1938 according to Tony Thompson’s PFE book.

Re: Boxcars At Auto Plant
John Barry
Bob, I would hazard that these are inbound parts based on the apparent fixed racks inside the three single sheathed cars with open doors nearest the plant. The first two of those three MIGHT be ATSF Fe-U's as the brace pattern is consistent and I see a hint of a DN end on the first car. The white blob is in the correct location for an Fe-U herald, but I can't make it out. The structures in the cars looks like the auto body racks shown on p47 of the Furniture and Auto Boxcar book. I'm less certain about the side sills on those cars as it seems a little deeper than I would have thought for the Fe-U. The fishbelly side sills on the next four cars is distinctive and not a good match for a Santa Fe prototype. Wonder what those were?
