I'm going to stick with my original view. I enlarged the photo considerably and I see a line below each of the horizontal rivet rows that seems to be the bottom of the steel sheet. The vertical lines of rivets secure the side sheets to the internal framing structure of the car. On a riveted-side car these would be present regardless of the orientation of the side sheets. What I don't see are any vertical seams that would indicate seams between vertical side sheets. Richard Townsend

I agree that they are sometimes not as sharp, but on a weathered model I think they may look even a bit better than the hi-res ones.
Variety and thickness are plusses -- great to have K4 as an option.

The “board” looks to be welded at the bottom and isn’t wood (or maybe it was sufficient to rivet it at the top edge only).

I do note the letter "O" to the left of the road number. Also, the presence
of the heap shield on the end construction made me think C&O.
So I looked a little more, and the car in your link bears a strong
resemblance to the C&O gon at the link below...
Metadata at the link below...
There are some deltas, but there is certainly more similarity than
difference.
So it might be reasonable to guess that the car in your link is C&O

Car is C&O 13133, a gondola they picked up secondhand from River Coal Co. in 1909. The peaked ends are original, and quite uncommon for a car built in 1905.
