Rest In Peace, Bill.
We were friends beginning in a time when letters and phone calls were still in vogue. Enjoy your last ride out of the station and say hello to the others awaiting your arrival

Re: San Juan Car Co. they are still operational
They are not doing custom decals like Rail Graphics did, only narrow gauge decals.

Re: San Juan Car Co. they are still operational
Speaking of San Juan Car Co., does anyone know if they have done anything yet with Rail Graphics, which they acquired awhile ago? They used to produce some really handy generic data decals.

My guess is the two pictures of tires being unloaded for tires shops were taken at team tracks. I now have another reason to spot a box car there

I think WHITE WALL tires were wrapped - Nobody would buy a blemished white wall, except at a deep discount.

NO GARTH IT DOES NOT. I was commenting on a specific photograph of specific cars in a specific place.
I doubt very much that those single sheathed cars, or the CG door-and-a-half

Very nice work, Rich. The newer weigh data and repack stencils are outstanding.
On wood sheathed cars, those route cards could be found in many locations. There were also plenty of card remnants
