HO Scale Taylor Trucks [was Re: [RealSTMFC] Photo: TCWX Tank Car 115 (1931)]
Fenton Wells asked:
"I wish Tahoe made Taylor trucks. Does anybody?"
Eastern Car Works did in styrene; Bethlehem Car Works did both coil spring (#1217) and leaf spring (#1218) versions in white

Fenton;
I had a set of Taylor trucks in my truck box for a long time before giving them to a devout RDG modeler who kept begging me. I didn’t think the quality of them was very good, but I know

Just a minor side note, the RDG 100053 boxcar is of interest to me, only by coincidence. I model and research the Georgetown Branch of the B&O, with my layout set ca 1945-55. In one of the rare steam

Hi Bob and List Members,
RDG 100053 was a 40ft steel car RDG class XMt. It would have been fairly new at the time of this photo.

Re: Orange NP Wood Reefers
Thanks guys, that is actually good news. Reason I am interested is that I fully kitbashed 3 Accurail NP Reefers. I screwed up one paint job, and in a moment of brainfartness I painted it (#90062)

Photo: More TCWX Tank Cars: (1931)
TCWX 115 looks to be a fairly standard AC&F Type 17, with some work on the dome to accommodate the cargo. TCWX 119 is a pre-1917 GATC tank (as is 122 behind it). The dome platform, ladder, center tank

Re: Photo: More TCWX Tank Cars: (1931)
I don't have a 1931 ORER, but my January 1938 ORER says TCWX is for Charles Lennig & Co. only. At that point they had 18 tank cars, varying from 4,000 to 7,500 gallons capacity. All were TA acid
