Re: Completely New Resin
If I'm not mistaken the very nice resin CofG ventilated boxcar kit Jim King (Smoky Mountain Model Works) produced for the CofG society a few years ago also used 3D printed patterns.

Re: 40' ACF boxcar info
All the cars described in the article have 10'5" or 10'6" IH and 4/3/1 ends (bottom to top).
The following series were built before 1959:
12 panel sides: C&IM 16501-16650 (blt 2/55), DL&W

Re: 40' ACF boxcar info
List,
A quick apology and correction. I was vague in my description. I was on break and rushing. I meant the late production 10'6" cars with 4/3/1 ends.
Thanks,

Re: Ambroid cement
I guess that in the last hour every last tube has been bought.
Both sizes bring me an "out of stock" notice.
Has anyone here actually bought a tube from Des Plaines today?

My fault, I wasn't specific enough.
I meant the post-59 S&T scheme with the 8' circle-cross.
By the way, Mask Island Decals makes this scheme, only problem being the herald is 8'-6" so not right for

Re: Ambroid cement
I have no doubt that a hobby shop somewhere has it in stock (just like the 40 year old Ambroid kits), but most of the listings I see mention it is unavailable or discontinued. Shipping is usually $8

Re: Ambroid cement
And what search terms did you use to find it on Amazon?
Ambroid cement brought up lots of products, but none of them were Ambroid cement.
At least it didn't for me.
