I'm not seeing the term "grain clip" defined in the 1922 CBC, but I assume you mean what the CP called "lining anti-bulge plates." Look at the span between the posts; much greater on a seven panel

It appears that CB&Q in its decade long affair with Single Sheathed boxcars never used grain clips nor do they appear on some classes of CNW , IC single sheathed boxcars and they were not standard on

No, because all our pawl and ratchet detail is molded on the various brake steps, and the brake staff lower support is always molded with the bodies. I don't even know why we offer the brake wheel and

Does the Vertical Staff and Brakewheel set have anything besides a piece of
wire and a wheel? I find myself backdating some cars to vertical staff and
really need the ratchet for the top of the car

If it came with the AB valve and reservoir I'd buy enough for a couple hundred cars -- I have a lot of old
Athearn kits and this would be a very quick and effective upgrade before selling them on
