My 1966 edition of the interchange rules book has no prohibition of bolted on journal boxes. This would include both Andrews and Vulcan trucks. After all, roller bearing trucks do not have

One of the things I did with the book is to dump the M system I came up with in the Mainline Modeler articles but yes the Sunshine kits were the M5 in its final configuration (and least number built).
