Try checking out Appalachian Railroad Modeling and contact the owner Dan Bourque. He models Southern and is good about responding to questions. It may take him a day or two due to work.

Re: Kingan and Dubuque meat reefers closing thoughts.
Brian,
I concur with the continuance of the Kingan brand. If you will recall a few weeks ago I sent the group a list of Western Pacific customers from 1957, and Kinghan was still listed in San

Re: Number Change On Kadee Cars
Do you happen to know which Kadee undecorated car would be a match for the Kadee Southern car? Or any other Southern car to go with either the Mask Island of Speedwitch decals.

Kingan and Dubuque meat reefers closing thoughts.
I have gone down the Kingan and Dubuque meat reefer rabbit hole for the better part of a week now.
Regarding kingan I found the name and brand continued after the purchase by Hygrade for a few years

We’re going to be in trouble here. Originally the LNE cars were painted a red very similar to PRR freight car color of the early 1940’s. However, this weathered rapidly and was not

Re: Number Change On Kadee Cars
Nice work.
If you would ever want to model that series of cars for the Southern I have a decal set which has both sizes of monograms for that car.

Re: Number Change On Kadee Cars
Allen,
I was able to renumber the Kadee Southern boxcar using a cotton swab lightly moistened in 91% isopropyl alcohol and rubbed gently. I rinsed in water, then applied my homemade printed decals

Number Change On Kadee Cars
I would appreciate advice on how to remove individual numbers from Kadee boxcar and hoppers. I have several duplicates to renumber using Kadee's decals made for the cars.
Thanks, Allen Cain

LNE X-29 boxcars
LNE X-29 boxcars, 8000 series, Anyone have info on these cars? I think they were the 8000 series. I believe they were boxcar red in the late 1940's and early 1950's. Can anyone tell me a good paint
