Re: tank car retainer valve plaement
Bruce, this seems like a simple question, but it's not. Most general
arrangement drawings don't show details of the brake equipment, and
in photographs the retainer valves on pre-WW-II AC&F cars

tank car retainer valve plaement
I am new to the group and this is my first post.
Does anyone know where AC&F placed the retainer valve on the type 11 tank car with K brakes? I can't find any photos or drawings that give me a clue.

Re: GM&O color recommendation
It may have been a slip or typo but Scalecoat #11 is what Ed told me. I suspect he meant the CN red #11 as Armand pointed out. I don't know it's accuracy but notice Modelflex has a paint called GM&O

GM&O color recommendation
Good evening!
Can anyone state which colors by FLOQUIL can be combined to produce the correct color for GM&O boxcars in the late 1940's?
Thanks,

New Kadee SAL boxcar?
Kadee has announced on their site a new SAL paint scheme for their 40' box. I'm not too familiar with Seaboard, and I can't make the photo out. Can anyone point out a better photo of the scheme
