mold release problem by using a piece of overhead transparency film against
the resin. I thought I had some Mylar available

I'm pretty sure Don Tichy produces both CMA and Tichy stuff.
The CMA name? Maybe a tax break, or partnership, was involved.

Coils could be small -- there is an interior shot of N&W 72180
that shows two parallel coil troughs running the length of the
car, and the roof is only as high as the car sides.

Polish the glass with a silicon based car polish.
It was recommended by the fiberglass people when I laid up some fiberglass
moulds on my Corvette.

CMA was created by Tichy for some legal reasons. These reasons no longer exist.

.020 Lexan sheet works well for me. I have found that mold release only has a minimal affect on extending the use of the lexan sheet. Expect about 60+ applications before the sheet won't let go of the
