Do you put the chain and rod from the hand brake on after you paint it so the chain doesn't get clogged up with paint? How do you glue back there?

Clark,
To turn the car into the standard NYC car you’d need to replace the N&B’s 3-panel door with the reinforcement plate with the standard NYC three panel door or an appropriate NYC Youngstown

Clark,
Both the HC and the N&B were chiefly cement carriers, so having their cars on your Iowa railroad would be like sending the proverbial "coals to Newcastle". I won't say it couldn't happen, but

Clark,
If you saw a Hannibal Connecting car on your branch line, it would most likely be loaded with bagged cement.

It is interesting to note that the "S" on the Protocraft Decal set (as well as the prototype!) seems to be upside down.

In the FWIW department,
The Pullman Library has a Pullman drawing of Lot 5655 series7900-7955 TC Box cars stencil drawings.
That includes the side, end, bolster, cylinder &interior lettering.
