W&LE freight equipment in the 1946-1948 era, before being repainted by

Wabash colors (was Re: New Intermountain Cars)
Chet -
Do you have any information about the paint color on the W&LE #73000-
73199 "inside out" 66' IL gons that later became NKP #65100-65199?
What color were they painted on the WLE in 1947 or so,

I think Sunshine's ACF insulated tankcar (Kit# 36.x) beats the new GATC tankcar hands down. The ACF car is the only Sunshine kit I totally gave up on. The new GATC tankcar is an Intermountain tank

Re: Sunshine's GATC Type 30 tankcars
Dave,
In addition to Martin's kit, Ted (Speedwitch) will be releasing a GATC (note GATX are the reporting marks used on SOME but not ALL of these cars, while GATC is the company that built them)

Sorry Richard, the flat cars were painted oxide red. The Wabash
65' mill gons were black. The Wabash painted their steel gons and
hopper cars black. Composite gons were painted oxide red.
