St Louis RPM

Ted Schnepf

Hello Everyone,

Its one week to the St Louis RPM meet. I have attended and sold at everyone of these meets, and will continue my tradition bringing many books, HO models, and some O scale models.

There are several new items in my O scale urethane line. There is the new a Rock Island class B2 stock car http://railsunlimited.ribbonrail.com/Models/special.html. Castings by Tom Malden. Only about a dozen kits remain. Also have a new NYC gondola http://railsunlimited.ribbonrail.com/Models/gons.html. A new Milwaukee Road single sheathed boxcar http://railsunlimited.ribbonrail.com/Models/milwboxcars.html. Also have two new covered hoppers for NYC and Erie. And the final new car, is the AAR 70 ton flat car kit.

For those attending Ted Culotta's Litchfield and Madison gon clinic, I have the O scale Intermountain kit in either black or red. Sorry, the HO IM kits have been sold out for many years.

And as always, many books to pick from, including the just arrived "Produce Traffic and Trains" from Kalmbach, caboose and freight car books from Morning Sun, and the new freight car book from White River. I will also select some vintage freight car books to sell. Come check them out.

Contact me off list for these and other products.

Hi chaps

I have just finished a Sunshine Rebuilt USRA Frisco gondola, I must say the decals were not great. The load is white metal face shovel buckets to add weight as I don’t like stuffing lead everywhere.

Paul,

Very nice!

I think I might have this kit on the shelf. Your great efforts have pushed the “button” to get started on another project. One to add to the seven already in process. Also my LHS has just called to tell me that some detail parts that have been on order for a good deal of time have finally arrive. Add three more projects to the workbench. Oh. Now I have to order and assemble a supply of Sergent couplers. It is going to be a busy summer. ;-)

They got pretty far west. Attached is a photo of a Pacific Wholesale car that was based in Petaluma CA, north of San Francisco. Can’t get much further west than that. Petaluma was a major poultry production area serving the San Francisco market. Pacific Wholesale had several cars. Reporting marks were around until Oct 1954.
