The Trix model is a UP A-50-16.

Yeah, just throw out the whole floor. You can pull a Ted and scratchbuild a
new underframe, or just drop in an Accurail box car floor.

Not a SAL prototype, but a poorly executed model of a UP prototype, with major issues with the roof and underframe. See Richard Hendrickson's article in the June 2003 issue of Railmodel Journal for corrections to the Class B-50-24 and B-50-27 general service boxcar version of this prototype.

No. Paul Mansfield did work for the SP News Bureau and edited the T&NO employee's magazine. Obituary here:

Howard:

Most appear to be CS-25 (high walkways) or O-50-1 and O-50-2 (low
walkway) SP tank cars. As pointed out, 12,500 gallon capacity. I am
sure Tony Thompson will have more to add.

Still, our time period. Be well. Dave A.

What are the tank cars show in this link? (about half way down in the group)

Three shots show tank cars with fishbelly side sills and small domes.
Reporting marks are not visible. Any info on them?

White River acquires RMC and R&R was RE: Can this be confirmed?

Schuyler Larrabee

I am very glad to read this, first of all for the continuation of RMC, and also R&R, but also because as Chairman (past, now) of the Erie Lackawanna Historical Society, I worked with Kevin Eudaly to have WRP publish The Diamond, the ELHS quarterly magazine.  Mike Schafer is editor of The Diamond, and we are very happy with the quality and timeliness of their work.  Kevin is a first class man, and the staff at WRP are very knowledgeable about railroads and modeling.

Kevin’s dad presented his O scale version of the C&O at Cocoa Beach a few years ago.  It’s clear that Kevin grew up in a household that knew about trains.  Steam era trains including freight cars, BTW. (Whew!)

Lights back on at "the pub". Let's see if the PDF attachment is included with this msg. Neither Carsten's nor White River have it on a website yet.
