Just looked at the list of participants at the National Train Show at Milwaukee in July and see that either Speedwitch or Sunshine Models are listed? http://www.nationaltrainshow.org/2010/milwaukee.ht

BLI NYC all-steel box cars
Just read through this thread. I have a Westerfield model. I model the first week of May 1954. Should I replace the roof with a d/p type? I have Intermountain spares. Thanks, Clark Propst

BLI NYC all-steel box cars
After thinking about this for awhile I think I'd rather have the right roof rather than the roof be right. If I were to use, say a Red Caboose rectangular panel roof. I would need to add a rivet line

I can't remember how long my car's been in service, but I'm sure I don't remember what color I painted it. Was there any chance some of the roofs were painted black? When I replace the roof on my car

Excuses for getting more covered (cement) hoppers?
ACL covered hoppers with phosphate from Florida traveled long distances. I do think you have to justify the reason for buying any covered hoppers. Here's some that showed up on the M&StL in Iowa and M

demise of kits
At Naperville guys buy arm loads of kits from Martin. Last show a guy was selling his collection. I don't know how many kits there were, but there were a bunch. Maybe more that Martin's inventory? How

17th Annual Naperville Prototype Modelers Seminar, October 21-24 2010
Bill, Last Nov I sent an email to Joe inquiring about doing a clinic. His reply was that he wanted a copy of the clinic and handout. I responded with the question of what format and where to send it.

I gave him an outline of what I wanted to do and he accepted that. I've been working on this thing for months...year, so mine's 75% done, or close enough of a preview. Clark Propst

The more I think about this, if only a couple cars in a train had their doors open it would be rememberable. I watched a DVD on the RI in the 60s a few days ago. With an hours worth of trains rolling
