Brass Steam Locomotives that Pull Freight Cars.
Jerry, yes, Hallmark unfortunately sold some truly horrible models. Some of them - e. g. IC 4-8-2 or Frisco 2-8-2 - still without alternative up to date. I don't know the MoPac 2-8-8-2 personally, but

Brass Steam Locomotives that Pull Freight Cars.
Phil, the two most effective things to "make trains long(er)" are 1. reducing weight per car and 2. improving their rolling ability. Regarding 1. This of course has directly to do with the used curve

8000 gal. ICC 103-D-W tank car question
Many thanks to all repliers! Tim, of course I am aware of the very nice OMI 4000gal car - they called it "Nice & Timy", and I would own one since a long time when it wasn't a 1960s car. Steve, unfortu

Hello friends, as some of you know I love brass models even though todays plastic and resin models are superior in detail. It's kind of nostalgic gush. I found a very rare model: https://www.ebay.com/

Again, very nice. Having purchased brass locomotives since decades with a focus on the more/ most detailed ones, being aware of the fact that a 100% accurate model won't be possible - more and more I

What a nice model, Dan! Many thanks for sharing the pic. Despite all issues with 'overdone' details/ proportions, etc., I like those old wooden kits very much, and with todays much better detail parts

Many thanks, Ed! For that price and with the electrical pick-ups and the additional detail of brake cylinders and rods and leverage still no match for (a bunch of) freight cars - likely they have 36"

Ken, many thanks for your hints. I am aware of the brass ones, but since I need about 50 pair for my Virginian "Battleships" I definitely would prefer plastic... I did not know about LaBelle and thetr

Hello Richard, this is a nice model! Did the trucks come with the kit and are a Quality Craft's own creation, or something else? Thanks and greetings Johannes Gesendet: Dienstag, 29. März 2022 um 02:1
