FWIW: The 1948 Monon conductors log I've been going through shows covered hoppers being used for only Lime (1 car), Cement (11 cars), and Soda Ash (1 car). This is out of 510 cars. So far nothing else

Phil, Another gray car would be the Monon 1200-1225 painted in 1948. These had Evans load restraints installed and it has been said that they were intended for service at a Louisville appliance plant.
