Throwback Tuesday: Ulrich GS Gon Ad, Model Railroader, October 1959
I usually justify my SP/GN/Milwaukee single sheathed boxcars since they were often seen spotted at lumberyards in my neck of the woods with lumber products. I know (or think I know) I've seen pictures

My, my. Bulldog Macks and fabricated steel everywhere. The end shot of the gon on the curve is interesting. The off-tracking due to the radii is oh so evident (photo *5042). Rob Mondichak.

Need FGE Book!
Not sure that Pat O'Boyle had volumes of FGEX material but what he did offer in O scale brass freight cars was pretty impressive in the fidelity arena for the time period and still well sought after.

Nice work with the photos, Claus. Always something interesting in your treasure hunts. Looks similar to, if not the same car, that Norm Buckhart just had done in O scale: https://www.protocraft.com/ca

Westerfield AC&F Type I reefers for FGE & WFE
Bill, Will you be covering this in your upcoming book? Those of us in O scale are blessed with a nice ACF type I that was done in an as-built configuration by WBM in brass at the behest of Mike Hill.
