Broadway Limited 6.000 gallon tank cars
Regarding the Ethyl emblem, it goes back further than 1952. It was used on cars as early as 1944 and likely prior to that, as well. Printing decals for them (dekuhls in Canadian). Cheers, Ted Ted Culo

What methods do you use to add weight to an empty flatcar?
I may be misunderstanding, Tony, but your calculation is "unfettered" whereas if you have a finite space to fill and you use larger rather than smaller "chunks" then you can't get as many in the finit
