Tony, I'll be the first to comment on that Seaboard car to confirm your accurate suspicion. I was pleasantly surprised to see it and simultaneously astounded because 28 years later I was walking those

Most likely for paper and pulp as you mention. The "Aroma of Tacoma" mainly is no longer evident due to the major cessation of the mills. Port Townsend on the Olympic Peninsula has one too and they're

Stayed overnight in West Sacramento this Sunday. Was wondering if it was all SN or SN/WP and how the heck did they keep the Friendly out since the Cal-P main ran through Yolo County? Surprising to hea

Brewery Locomotive ID
Was the brewery in Battle Ground or Vancouver? My quick search didn't yield an address. Never explored your neck of the woods but certainly been along the mainlines enough times. Funny thing about it

Loaded onto the barge in Seattle would have been interesting to say the least, I think that your GN option makes the most sense. I live right above the main here in White Rock and bringing in a specia

What route did this take to get to Vancouver? If it went MILW all the way then crossing the border at Sumas, Wa is the only option. Hard time seeing this being the case. Pulp digester makes more sense

Many thanks to everyone, I accidentally deleted my earlier reply before sending it. I had seen the 1937 list before but stupidly forgot to go to the front page of STMFC and look for it again. To Tim O

Accurail 41' gon
Regarding the ARR version, I may have a shot of one here in Seattle. Back in circa 2000, a 40' foot gondola showed up at Bloch Steel (directly adjacent to UP's Argo yard) for cuttin' up into scrap. It
