Interesting to see some of the end details of the boxcar next in line. Obviously this is a repair track, so it isn't all that shocking to see that the placard boards on the end are completely gone and

That brings up a question I've had for a while for our expert modelers, what colors do you recommend for representing creosoted wood (like loads of utility poles or trestle pilings)? Thanks, Brent Dr.

Banned from Interchange - was Re: Real or no?
How would that process work when a road like Seaboard would reject an incoming car? Would the road crew at the point of interchange be expected to inspect each car that had been dropped off for pickup

looking for a source for Youngstown early post war (wide seam panels) corrugated 7' opening doors for 10'6" double door boxcar project
I did not find them on Kadee or Speedwitch. The ones from SouthWest Scale are the right configuration, but only a 6' width vs. the 7' that I need. I will check Yarmouth next Thanks, Brent Dr. J. Brent

Thanks Ed! (I was afraid that this would end up being something too challenging for me to model - looks like that might be the case here) I will see if I have the issue of Mainline Modeler in my back

Pullman Standard cushioned underframe question for PS-1 cars
Friend Jim Brewer recently shared some information on various lots of PS-1 boxcars ordered by the Norfolk and Western. One of these was for a group of only 5 cars, identified in the data as PS Lot 816
