GTW lettering

Hi:

I think these dates would have been virtually simultaneous. The CNR tilted monogram (not herald) stencil layout drawing was issued July 19, 1954.

I'll ask our GTW gurus (Jim Gilmore and Bob Smith) to comment on this.

I have information that in '53, the GTW made their herald level and added
the maple leaf, which would be a year before the CN made their maple leaf
herald level. Do I have the right dates here?
Also, does the wet noodle GT scheme date from '61 as does the CN? Is that
when they started painting their cars blue? When was the "Good Track" logo
introduced? Inquiring modelers want to know. - John
