NKP 40' post war boxcars

Brian Carlson

The NKPHTS offers a special run of Branchline 40' postwar boxcars. I
am trying to put together a prototype data sheet for the cars. I
only have a few photo's, so I want to confirm some details for the
following series of cars.

5200-5249 7' superior doors, BLT 8-9 1946 PS Michigan City In.
5250-5499 7' Youngstown Doors, Camel fixtures, BLT 8-9 1946 PS
Michigan City In.
7000-7299, 6' Youngstown doors, Camel fixtures, BLT 8-12 1945,
Ralston, Columbus Oh.
7300-7499, 6' Superior doors, BLT 8-12 1945, Ralston, Columbus Oh.

I'm looking to confirm the above information, and truck type, brake
wheel, and housing, running board type,

Also if anyone wants to purchase the kits, they are on sale now at
the NKPHTS website (shameless plug)

I think 5200-5249 should be 5000-5249. 5092 is the car offered in this
series. It would make sense for the door types to be half and half,
though it is not necessarily so.

5000-5499 are all from Pullman lot 5840. Doors are split 1/2 & 1/2
as you say, but trucks are a different story.
