Bill Welch's FGEX/WFEX/BREX Handout

benjaminfrank_hom <b.hom@...>

Bill Welch's 2002 Naperville handout, "The Wood Sheathed Cars of the
FGEX/WFEX/BREX Freight Refrigerator Fleet: 1940-1953" has been
uploaded to the STMFPH group files section:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/STMFPH/files/FGEX/

The files are in Adobe Acrobat and are optimized for Version 7.0 or
higher. The latest version of Acrobat Reader can be downloaded at
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

Because I didn't have the original source files available to convert
to PDF, the total file size is 16.8 MB. (The document was scanned
at 300 dpi using an HP Document Imager, and I ran it through Acrobat
7.0 Professional's file reduction process to try to get the file
size smaller. The handout is broken down into 11 files to
facilitate downloading.

A special "thank you" goes to Bill Welch for his permission to
upload this essential reference.

Ben,

Is your FGEX file really there? I've been to the files section and don't see it. Is it still waiting approval by our fearless leader?

Kind regards,

Jerry,

This is what I get: The requested file or directory is not found on the server. Otherwise, I keep getting sent back to "Activate Web Access", which I did years ago.

Yes, I'm properly logged in.

I was getting the same screen. Then I realized that it was the overflow
area. Rather than input the e-mail per the screen request, I backed up a
notch to the base/home page and requested that this group be "added" to My
Groups. The request was immediately/automatically approved and I was then
able to go back in and access the files. Afterward, I went to the STMFC
groups main page and checked my own My Groups listing and saw that the
overflow groups was added to My Groups. Hope this helps.

Note STMFPH is NOT STMFC - it is a different Yahoo Group established
as an "overflow" area before Yahoo granted us more storage space. As
such, you must join it as a separate group.

Group,

I have repeatedly tried to download Bill Welch's 2002 Naperville handout but keep getting the message "This page cannot be accessed" or some such wording. Any ideas?

Tom
