No. Ted knew the business well enough to only grant "one-time serial" (magazine) rights to RMC.

Although that site does not provide a complete index of Culotta's
"Essential Freight Cars" articles, I may consider having someone
bookmark it for me later on.

You can also go to http://index.mrmag.com and do an author search
on "Culotta, Ted". It's a great resource, and far too many people
are
too lazy to use it.

The Essential Freight Cars article list through #37 - April 2007 is

There have been a few more since...

Al,
To my understanding Ted retains the rights to a book. I think someone also also said that.

Elden,
Speaking for myself, I currently am reluctant to send anymore
material to Carstens for publication since it's been a year since
I've been paid for the last item of mine that was published.

Henry Carstens has been remarkably silent to my numerous inquiries as
to when I might expect payment for my efforts. I know that I'm not
the only contributor whho has not been paid in a timely manner and I
believe we are all of the same opinion about further submissions
until the outstanding bills are paid.

Ted retains all rights to the Essential FC articles. He told me if his
"Things-to-do" pile ever dwindles, he will probably publish a compilation.

Few can! I was browsing through some past RMC's a week or two ago and
came upon the first article in Ted's series. Can't remember the exact
number, but the projection was for only twenty or so total articles.
The most recent one is #40! When Ted started these he was "between
assignments", as we say, and had the time and motivation to put real
effort into them. Since then he has moved from CA to CT, started
Speedwitch Models, produced a whole bunch of patterns for resin
casting, found a willing and talented resin caster to produce his
models and brought them to market, published a couple of books and two
(so far) world class modeling periodicals, and travels annually to a
number of prototype modelers meets and shows where he both sells amd
presents clinics, all the while trying to maintain some semblance of
normal family life. As far as I'm concerned, the last dozen RMC
articles are pure bonus, and when the series ends I'll be grateful for
what Ted has given us and not grumble that there won't be more....
