And don't forget the big one.....
Kits that I really must like because I unwittingly bought several duplicates of them over the years.....Charlie Vlk (who has learned this because I finally got up the nerve to begin a full rolling stock inventory after recovering from the shock of the last time I did it ten years ago) |

Kits I can't build today or tomorrow because of the kits I bought 10 years ago and also this week that suddenly are just too cool to put off any longer...that never happens! In a similar vein, sometimes somethings just "happen"...In the last 10 weeks I've acquired three HH600 shells, stripped two S-2's and then the two Limas arrived at the doorstep...so now I have SEVEN switchers to build! This was enough motivation for me to clear my decades-old Class NE-2 and almost decade-old Class NE caboose projects off the work bench - and I don't mean "clear" as in push aside, I mean c-o-m-p-l-e-t-e. The NE-2 will be done this weekend and the NE needs only the roof completed, so won't be too far in the future before done. Then it's on to a few months of switchers!!! Unless I stick the W-153 Maybrook wreck train diner in there before starting the switchers...but then, that's it! Just the switchers I tell ya! Oh....those cases of unopened boxes near the workbench, under the layout and stacked up in the other half of the basement? those? well, they're um...rainy day kits...you know...in case the hobby wallet is empty sometime and I need to have something to work on...yeah, that's what all those are...maybe I should go look through those...there might be something very cool that I have tucked away... My problem is different than the rest of you ... my problem is the
Kits I won't get to because I spend too much time reading Yahoo Groups emails ... - Jim -- *************************************************************************** *** Sleepless but not Sleeperless in San Jose *************************************************************************** |

Then there is the....
Kits that will never get built because they sat so long in the "to do" pile that one (or more!!!) generations of new, improved better kits have sucessively been purchased to replace them....or worse yet, RTR cars!!! Charlie Vlk |
