The jigs and oven that were used to build this car were pretty amazing, and when you consider that it was a one-of-a-kind, that was a significant expense to go to. Regards Bruce Bruce F. As far as the welding comments, I believe the article I'd read said that the Altoona shop forces hadn't done much/any welding on this scale (particularly a single car this big) to date.
