Hi Jim,

A friend of mine, Fred Mullins, lives in the Chesapeake, VA area and
is an A&D modeler. I recall having a conversation with him where he
mentioned that he did a custom run of A&D box car decals. I'll see
if I can find his e-mail and get you two hooked up.

Thanks for the info; however, I need the Gothic style lettering with the rather large round monogram (herald). Al's set appears to be Roman lettering sans herald. This would be a neat car to model for my 1956 era N&W layout.

I'll keep looking!

Jim,
The old Walther's set #134-11 has the double white circle with Atlantic
& Danville Railway Company within it and the Blue arrow with A&D in it.

Jim,

Al Westerfield has a SU boxcar for the A&D kit # 4151.  Decals can be ordered separately.

Is anyone aware of a source for HO scale decals for Atlantic & Danville boxcars? I'd like to model one of the boxcars it acquired in the 1950s from the New York Central, using the Sunshine Kit 64.1. A photo of one of the cars is shown in Ted Culotta's "Steam Era Freight Cars Seminar" book.

I've checked the "big 3" as well as the Great Decals web page.

Jim,
I found my set of O scale A&D decals. They are # 134-11 from Walthers.
So I reckon, lots of luck.

Jim,
I have a set of O scale decals for the A&D that James King gave me so
that the NMRA MER might produce a "Regional" car for sale. This hasn't
happened. I'll try to get up with James soon and see who made them for him.
