Need ACR (Alternate Center Rivet) cars? Think Archer rivets.

Hi Tony,

Have you been there and done this? If so, please share photos!!

I've thought of it, (probably lots of people have also thought of it) but I haven't tried it.

Regards,

-Jeff

No, not yet. But I'm so impressed with the tank car experience I've had that I can see the ACR opportunity. I'd be surprised if I were the first to think of it.

Gee Tony, I mentioned it to you that I might try it in N Scale at the Houston Convention! I tried making my own decal rivets but could not do the job Archer has done.

Guys;

In an initial application for a PRR late 50's car side that needed a bolster
row of wide-spaced rivets, I was so happy I ordered more so I can do any
number of cars I need them for (esp classes X46 thru X55). They are just the
trick!

Y'aint. Ted's custom rivet decals include a number of
different spacings and can be used for A.C.R. -- which
used more than one pitch.

See message 72247.

Do you mean he has issued a specific set or that the current sets would be useful? If somebody would give him the dimensions and notes on how they are to be used I'd bet he would make an ACR set.

I placed an order with Archer last Sunday for exactly that purpose. When I
get around to doing it,of course.
