Ops, wrong. I just glanced at the name but now notice it's some type of freight company. Not sure what is going on. Someone needs to call Ted.

Looks like someone failed to continue paying for either the domain or the webhosting. I think Rob Adams took over the site and I bet he'll address this soon.

From the look of the current page, I'd say the renewal for the domain and web space has expired.

OhOh bad news - usually the sign of someone not paying for the domain name. I was just on Speedwitch (that still works) this morning to order a couple sets of decals as Ted didn't make it to Cocoa Beach. I got a confirmation on the order (PayPal payment) but that might have just been automatic system reaponse.

I'm not sure Ted had much to do with it over the past 4-5 years. Rob Adams was updating it, but it's likely the domain wasn't paid up since the page that comes up now is a generic web page.

Purge your cache and see if it works. It's not coming up for me.

work (regular job) and he has much less time for Speedwitch than before. Hopefully I will see him at Springfield in a couple of weeks. Tim O'Connor At 1/19/2010 01:53 PM Tuesday, you wrote:

Nothing has happened to Ted as far as I know.
There is a difference between the Steam Era freight car site which Ted started, and the Speedwitch Media site, which he also started. Speedwitch site is working fine. Ted hasn't actively done much with the Steam Era freight cars site since he started Speedwitch. It's been disappointing that the steam era freight car site hasn't developed "legs" to carry on. I know someone has picked up the banner, and I noted it was updated not that long ago. It would be neat to see it carried through the way it was originally conceived - but for that to happen a site would need regular contributions from many individuals. I don't think that's been happening. Hope whoever owns the url renews it. Marty |

My experience was the same as Brian's. I mean, the girl's cute, but she's no PS-1!

I had the young lady that my daughter calls "backpack girl" show up when I tried the Steam Era Freight cars site. She's a popular young lady on the Web, showing up on many sites that are suspended. I hope that she's getting royalties for the use of her photo. She'll never have to work another day in her life! ;)
