W&LE covered hopper photo?

Schuyler Larrabee

I would like to find a prototype photo of a (Steam Era) W&LE two bay covered hopper.  I am building an F&C model, and it is the only car that their instructions do not include a prototype photo, only a photo of the model.  Apparently these cars were numbered in a very low number series; the example model photo is a car numbered 12.  Open triangle between the hopper bays.  Any assistance will be appreciated.

I may have an article on these cars. What Is the F&C kit number so I can check.

OK: We did cover these cars. Steve’s decals are wrong. These were W&LE 7000-7011 which were renumbered NKP 1-12 Article has 3 Photos of 7000-7011 a diagram and 4 pages of prototype info. Also have photos of later W&LE 7019, 7022, and NKP 23 These were different than the F&C. Magazine is NKPHTS Fall 2000  $5 from the NKPHTS I have about 20 copies left.

One of the earlier Railway Prototype Cyclopedias' has a photo of a W&LE
car. That's a good starting point.

I Don't remember the issue number of the top of my head. Got to leave for
work.

Yup. Thanks. Forgot all about George's site.

Thanks also to Brian, Richard Brennan, Gerry Glow, Rich Yoder. Thanks
particularly to Brian and his warning that Steve Funaro's decals are wrong.
Much appreciated, all of you.
