When did PRR start painting covered hoppers in gray rather than FCC? If class matters the car of interest is an H30. TIA Jack Mullen

Some H30's received gray paint as early as Mar 1954. At least one, 255284, was photographed with gray paint applied 3-54 with the circle keystone scheme. The shadow keystone scheme on H30's appeared by Jun 1954. See The Keystone Summer 2002 for photos and documentation.
