Hi List Members,
Perhaps some of us will enjoy this image of tank cars UTLX 55136 and GATX
3176 being repaired on the CV during the WW2 period.
There is a little additional text at the link below...
Enjoy!

In anticipation of the usual questions, UTLX 55136 was an early Class V (frameless) car that had been renumbered when it was refitted with heater pipes. It was still in service in 1952 but, by then, had apparently been converted to narrow gauge. Just a reminder that the 1952 tabulation of UTLX cars is in our Files section. I'd post a link if I could decipher Yahoo's "system", but I can't. If you search "UTLX", it should be the second file listed. While Dave mentioned the UTLX car, the GATC car is also interesting. GATX 3176 is a GATC 1917-design 8000 gallon non-insulated tank car, and looks to be 1920 production. Note it still has its K-brake system in place.
GATX 3176 is a match for the 8000-gallon non-insulated tank that was released by Tangent Scale Models in November 2016 and sold out earlier this year. We are working on new schemes now and we will announce them when we have them. Best wishes, David Lehlbach Tangent Scale Models |

There is another view of the same scene, but it doesn't show the tank cars as well both are probably posed, but neat photos.

Thanks for this additional photo. I had not noticed the Carmer cut lever on the GATX car in the earlier photo.

Not only the cut lever, but that's a very interesting bracket for the brake wheel "stem winder" as well! Very cool details to add to a tank car model.
