Missouri-Illinois RR book plug

Charlie Duckworth

For the past 2 1/2 years I’ve been working on a book covering the Missouri-Illinois Railroad.  The book went to the publisher three weeks ago (740 photos and 76,000 words). There’s a chapter on the freight cars used by the M-I and the prior roads that made up the M-I in 1921 that maybe of interest to this group.  For more details and a few photos go to http://www.mopac.org/store/m-i-book

This effort was done as a fund raiser for the Missouri Pacific Historical Society.

Charlie,

Congrats on this accomplishment!  I am personally excited about this book as I have always found the M-I a very interesting railroad.  I have my order in.  I hope there are many others who put their orders in too!

I’m hoping these will be printed before the RPM in Collinsville and we’ll have them available at the Missouri Pacific Historical Society tables but providing a reservation helps decide on the number to print.

I've already got my reservation in. The M&I has a role on my Centralia, IL 1955 era layout.  I'm really looking forward to it.
