Here's a master I made for UP stock cars, because the Microscale set is (or was - they may have added it) missing the end markings -- or was it thew Athearn decorated cars -- its been so long I forgot the reason why I made these up, Note that this is in a "stencil" font. This is red for the yellow cars. Just use Word to convert these from red to yellow (use a darker yellow or they won't show up right on the model) for the red cars. It is set up to print on the Testors 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" decal sheets.

Actually, if you convert the color of these to a yellow, you can use them on just about any UPRR freight cars. I made them up in three sizes to best fit the scale. In HO they work out to roughly 2", 3" & 4" tall. Note that secondary Champ decals were often oversized -- it was a trade-off of legibility vs. correct scale (I think it is called "Greeking" in the printing industry. Or is that when the letters are sort of smeared but in scale?).
