A 1942 photo from the Temple University Libraries:

This photo can be enlarged quite a bit.

Note the four quadrant switch crew chalk marking near the grab iron. This is a typical pattern with a "+" sign with a letter or number code for the location, shift, carman and "ok" in the four quadrants.

Looking for confirmation: Are those X29s?

Yes.  The X29 class marking can be clearly seen when you enlarge the photo.

And to add to Ben's comments, not all X29s are alike.

The first two cars are from the 1928-30 production series, with a Youngstown door, long upper door track and single, low door stop.

The 3rd car is from the 1924-25 production series with a PRR 3-panel door (not CRECo), a short upper door track and two door stops at 1/3 and 2/3 of the height of the door.

These two types of cars had different side sheet patterns. When converted to AB brakes, both had longitudinal reservoirs.
